Great stuff. You have to admire a man with a Fylde and grey in his beard, eh ocarolan? Brian

I watched that last night - most excellent! Some other good stuff in the Quay Sessions too. Keith

I enjoyed that. I like to listen to songs once a month or so. I quite like John Smith too I understand amplification of acoustic guitars can be tricky on stage but is it me or is there a hint of quackiness about the guitar sound? Phil

I heard quackiness especially in the louder playing. Brian

Phil Yes, I agree, especially on the Falstaff (from the second song onwards). Too much reverb as well. I think Roger told me once that JS normally has quite a complicated dual source pickup arrangement in his guitars, but he then said in a newsletter that he was switching over to a Baggs Anthem in his custom Alexander. That’s the first guitar in the clip - I don’t know when this was recorded, but there’s no sign of the distinctive Anthem control panel in the soundhole.
