Some of you will remember a guitarists get together I arranged a couple of years ago at Norton Grange north of Manchester. I’ve been approached about doing another so I’m testing the water here. As last time, it would be open to all and not just for participants to this group and I’m sure there’ll be a few luthier friends who would come.
Thoughts anybody?
I’d prefer to stick with Norton Grange as it’s close to the M62, the meeting rooms are a good size and there would no other events going on anywhere near us, the food was good last time and vanished very quickly (!) and, assuming I can get the same deal, the cost for the rooms and food was very reasonable at £12.50 per head. The hotel isn’t expensive and if I recall correctly a double could be had for £75 including breakfast and full use of the spa facilities. I’m sure participants with cars would pick up anyone coming by train or other public transport.

I'd be interested , I was last time but it clashed with something else, I doubt I'd want to stay overnight though

The overnight suggestion was for anyone coming from afar and/or who wanted a weekend away within striking distance of several major cities and some amazing scenery.

If I'm in the country I'll be there. Flights for the year booked so I know what dates I can/can't make.

Would love to do it again if I’m available Chris. An afternoon playing and talking about loads of lovely guitars, with nosh thrown in, for not much more than the price of a set of strings? No brainer!

Ok I’ll mull things over. I could have difficulty with dates myself. Some of you know about my involvement with Calton Cases who are now based in Austin, Texas. Short notice travel is very possible.
