Ok I am really new to all this , so what’s with the meet what happens ? It's really simple, frank... we basically just meet up, bring along a guitar or two (or not, if you don't want to!) and then spend a few hours playing everyone else's guitars. There's food, sometimes a singaround (again voluntary) and then we go home Not as structured, or as long, as our 'forum weekend meet' in Halifax but very relaxed and fun

Ok I am really new to all this , so what’s with the meet what happens ? That’s a good question. As last time, if I can get the rooms and food arranged, it’ll be from lunchtime until whenever. That’s it as far as I’m concerned, I’ll bring as many guitars as I can, 14 last time, others do the same, and then it’s up to everybody. It’s not a singaround, in the main room anyway, the other room was available last time but not used. I can put some amps (AER and Bose) in there There were comments from some about what they expected not being provided. Most of us enjoyed the chat with like minded folk and relaxed chance to try some great guitars but it’s up to you, I’ll just facilitate. Already, judging from the responses, if I can get my head around organising something, it’ll be great just to see everybody again!

I just like what it is, as Chris says it’s a chance to play some lovely guitars and to chat to like minded people. If someone wants to do an impromptu performance I don’t think anyone will stop them. Chris is kind enough to organise the room and food and to bring along part of his amazing guitar collection. The rest is up to us!

Hi,
Didn't go to the last one but sounds fun and just about within range for a round trip for me. So, if date works out then put me down for it please.
Regards
John

frank, I wasn’t referring to anything you said. I was quoting what Chris said about some people last time commenting that it wasn’t what they expected. Please come along if you can, you’ll enjoy it!

Would have loved to attend, but being Norwegian it takes some preparation and travel....just getting to see a small part of dreadnought28's guitar collection would have been worth the trip for me. I'm contemplating Halifax, though.. What a nice thing to invite to, come to think of it..

In view of the recent hookup with Calton Cases I’m going to have to put this on hold for a while at least. I will be travelling a lot and have really no idea when or where over the next few months. If things become clearer I’ll do my best to get something organised but I wouldn’t want to apologise for my absence at an event I’ve organised.
As it is, in order not to miss Ian’s do I’m intending to leave Summer NAMM In Nashville a day early and fly overnight back to Heathrow arriving on the morning of Jul 20th. Then I’ll try to stay awake!
