Yep - I quite enjoy looking at the quarterly auction listings - lots of history and stories there.
Often surprises me, when a pro guitarist’s collection comes up, how many “low end” guitars they seems to accumulate.
Presumably they were promo deals.

Yes and don't forget that the seller is usually paying the same premium as well. The auction house gets it both ways.

Wow - something of a nostalgia fest there - Watkins Rapiers, Hofner Verithins, Harmony Sovereign - guitars I unrequitedly lusted after in the 1960s!
Hide my credit card.....

I bought a guitar from there just over a year ago and I am very happy with it. Some are not bargains, though (they tell you on the website how much each guitar made when they were sold about a week after the auction), particularly when you add the 24% buyers' premium.
And as with all auctions, what some of them sold for is totally inexplicable. Have a look at some of the previous auctions and you'll see what I mean. A few auctions ago there were some wood shavings from Jimi Hendrix's Zemaitis 12 string that sold for over 200 quid!!! And I'm not kidding!

I'd go for the grey military one. Useful pockets.
Though the pink one could do well at the next Fabulous Shirt Competition at HB10...

Some of those old electric guitars brought back memories of a 13 year old boy, spending Saturdays in Shaftsbury Avenue and Charing Cross Road, nose pressed to windows trying to figure out how to make one of those oh so exotic things! Cheers Gary
