I'm afraid that at that price point they are in direct competition with the Hiscox Pro II , which are the benchmark case.

I've got one arriving this week - lots of companies are selling them, all around the same price. There is a carbon fibre version also - or rather a CF lookalike. I've one of each arriving. Anyway, I'll report back in a few days. Stay tuned! Nigel www.nkforsterguitars.com

It’s a great looking case at a reasonable price ... I’d like to know how you rate them when they arrive, Nigel.

Look forward to hearing what you make of it when it arrives nkforster - and how the shipping from PL has worked out for you too!

Be interested to hear what people think of these. A major selling point is that they provide straps to let you carry it on your back. Never understood why other manufacturers don't do that.

My Yulong Guo came with one. Chinese. Completely fine, giving adequate protection and light, for putting in the boot of a car, but I wouldn't fly with one. No competition for Hiscox as they actually are bomb-proof!

No competition for Hiscox as they actually are bomb-proof! Jonny I'd say that for the Hiscox Artist, but the only two smashes I've had were both in Hiscox Pro cases. The cases were fine, the guitars were smashed inside. Shipping from Oz, everything is going in its case, and then in a custom plywood box. I'm taking no chances. The two cases I'm getting in this new style are coming direct from China. Nigel www.nkforsterguitars.com

When it arrives, I'd be particularly interested to know how these compare in your experience with Visesnut, Calton and Mainstage, Pegasus and Hiscox Artist cases nkforster. Look forward to finding out more soon!

Look forward to finding out more soon! I'm not Nigel, but I do know (and have owned) those other cases and currently own a Calton, BAM, Hiscox and Calder... the M-Case is not in the same league and more just a semi-rigid light case. I'm pretty sure it is not fibreglass as stated. Do some research online and you'll see the same case comes up but branded differently. Hope that helps. Jonny

Every case seems to claim to be the ultimate!

I think the ultimate case would be one that gives great protection and is also very light - lots exist that are one and not the other. My Calton is very strong and not light, same goes for Hoffee. The BAM light, but not strong. Hiscox seem to have the balance right and not be too expensive.
Talking of expensive, for some reason I seem to own the most expensive guitar case ever made. It's made by Nick Calder, fibreglass covered in Gucci leather with hand painted silk lining. It looks sleek, is very strong, but very heavy. He makes them to order for 4.5k!!!!! Definitely not one to take out of the house as it is so impractical.
Stefan Sobell now sells his guitars with Hiscox Artist cases (ivory), which speaks volumes I think.

Keith Bontrager the bike designer once said, “strong, light, cheap, pick two”. I suspect that the same applies to cases, and many other things.

Although I love the colours the M cases aren't significantly lighter than a Hiscox case so I probably won't be colour coordinating soon
