I'm having a bit of an overhaul of my PA set up at the minute & I was wondering about adding a new mixer.
What I'm after: - 12ish channels (enough for 3/4 mics and 3/4 guitars, plus a bit of background music, though not necessarily all at the same time) - Built-in reverb (I don't care about 200 delay/phase/chorus/flange effects, I just really want one or two nice reverb sounds) - Basic EQ on every channel, plus some sort of master EQ - ideally some sort of ability to generate a multi-track recording - either by linking it to a laptop, or direct to a usb stick or memory card.
I'm curious if there's anything around that fits the bill? From what I've seen via a bit of casual Googling most small mixers don't do all of the above and the larger ones are adding in lots of of overkill in some regards as well as challenging the budget a little.
Also, the first person to reply "Kitchen Aid" gets hit with flying banjo...

I don't know any small format mixers that have a Master EQ, so you may need to strike that one off your list. I used to love the little Mackie mixers, some have FX built in, some don't, but they don't have USB connectivity/act as a recording interface. Just having a quick look on Thomann, whilst I'm loathe to recommend anything by Behringer, they do seem to have a few things that may fit the bill, small format Xenyx mixers with built in FX and USB connectivity: www.thomann.de/intl/search_dir.html?filter=true&manufacturer%5B%5D=Behringer&oa=pra&sw=xenyx%20usb&viewMode=block

Sounds like. Soundcraft board might work - great FX, analog mixing but with the ability to export all tracks to computer and then on to your DAW.
They are pretty good value for the quality.
A digital option might be the Allen and Heath Qu series.
Both desks allow you to record at 24/48.
If you just want to export the final mix the Allen’s and Heath Boards take some beating and are built like tanks.

My band have used an Allen and Heath Mixwizard for years so I can recommend them so maybe this would be suitable www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/zed-12fx/and I do have to disagree with Gregg, the Behringer X32 is an awesome desk for the money, not that it would suit Pistol's requirements. Craig

Yes the X32 would do the job but it's overkill for what Pistol needs besides being a bit big and heavy. Some of the ones you linked would be a better fit as would the ZedFX. Craig

I've heard Soundcraft is very good and I like my Yamaha but wish it had USB out capabilities. If I replace it, I'll probably go with Mackie or Soundcraft.

Thanks for your thoughts - I think I'm seeing that there's not an easy answer
