I sold my Jaguar-Strat last Saturday, to a very nice guy from Birkenhead. He asked if we could meet up half way, so I suggested Ormskirk, the home of my favourite guitar shop, Sound Affects Premier. So when the sale was done I headed straight to SAP, with a wad in my pocket. Anyways I wanted to re-check out the Fender Sixty Six and had a real good go on a number of Strats and Teles. The one that blew them all away, especially on the pickup front, was a Fender American Elite Strat HSS Shawbucker in Olympic Pearl, with a maple fingerboard. I'd owned this model before, except with a rosewood fretboard. I don't usually like to go back but this guitar is so good and I only sold my other, when I was desparate to raise some cash. Well it's back home, blasting out of my amp in the coolest of ways. What a guitar and I really love it's looks too, with it's pearly, off-white body and tort scratchplate.

Congrats again Graham - love the easy truss rod access, and the fact that the back access panel is torty too!
