For all you non-singers (like moi)who are lucky enough to, even occasionally, perform purely instrumental music on guitar, what tunes are on your set list? My (partial) current list would be:
St Louis Tickle Maple Leaf Rag Saturday Night Shuffle Guitar Rag Cannonball Rag Victory Rag Over the Rainbow Windy and Warm Doc's Guitar Misty Georgia On My Mind Ridin' Down the Canyon Tangerine Puppet Nine Pound Hammer I Am a Pilgrim Rockabye Rag (a work in progress) Oklahoma Hills Black Mountain Rag Steel Guitar Rag Texas Playboy Rag Wildwood Flower Peach Pickin' Time in Georgia Anji Danny Boy
and, probably some others............any other suggestions?
Been trying to work in some pretty Celtic stuff but DADGAD is killing me!!

A nice list. Tags always go down well. Some Celtic stuff would break it up a bit and add some more variety. Keep going at DADGAD - keeping it very simple is the key.

Ah! Well, since instrumental's all I do (you really wouldn't want to hear me sing), this is some of what's been brought out recently:
Ocean (John Butler, a 12-minute epic that is great fun to play) Manha de Carnaval and Uma Precce (both Luiz Bonfa tunes - having a bit of a Latin phase at the moment) Sons de Carrilhões (Sound of Bells), another really fun Brazilian number Tango En Skai (Roland Dyens, keeping up the Latin theme) Mississippi Blues (Clive Carroll's arrangement of the Willie Brown tune) Middle Child (Tristan Seume, lovely picking tune) Kinvarra's Child (Adrian Legg, one of many of Adrian's tunes I have worked out over the years and love to play) Pachelbel's Canon (Trace Bundy's fun tappy version - can also be Streets of London if you prefer, as the chords are the same!) Fields of Gold (Jacques Stotzem's arrangement of the Sting tune - always seems to go down well) Jump (Eric Roche's version of the Van Halen classic) Thunderstruck (Luca Stricagnoli - haven't quite managed to pull this one off properly yet!) Sunburst (Andrew York) In The Deep and Eliza's Eyes (you can never have too many Clive Carroll tunes)

Do you have any recordings online? Jonny

(you really wouldn't want to hear me sing), I have heard you sing, Bob. You are very good and you should do more of it. Your guitar playing, however, is fantastic. A joy to listen to you always. You missed Billy Jean off your list, and you shouldn't. Brilliant version. Also Superstition.

Found my tatty bit of paper of possible instrumental pieces - This isn't really a setlist, just an aide memoire to use whilst playing so I know what I might play next. I can never think of what to play when someone says "play something"! It's several years old now - I doubt I could play everything there without a fair bit of pre-gig relearning, and there's lots more I could now add, esp my own tunes (top left) probably many more of my arrangements if I really sit down and think about it. There never seemed much point in having more than one side of a piece of paper to work from though! Used it mostly when providing wallpaper music at various functions. Not played an entirely instrumental set for very many years though sometimes slip a choon in among a song set if my fingers are working well and the audience seem like they might appreciate it. Choons they know tend to be less risky than my own stuff, though these plus associated backstories can go very well in the right circumstances. Keith

They haven't made an appearance for a while!

Haven't quite managed to record a respectable version of that yet, but there's a selection of others on Spotify here

What a lot of tunes. If I could get my list up to ten I'd think I was doing alright.
