60% here bleatoid . No buzzing but certainly a reduction of clarity in sound. A sort of muffling effect which is unfortunate because I'm trying to do a video using the new guitar. Phil

My hygrometer has been 60+ % too, so I have doubled up on the poundstretcher humidity traps.

Managed to get my guitar out last night for the first time in a few days....no buzzing, but I definitely think the action was a bit higher. Is that normal for high humidity?

Yes, the top swells and the bridge 'bellies up'. The resultant high action is the main symptom along with muffled sound. Last week was >70% in my house. I use a 20L/day home dehumidifier and Humidipaks in the cases.

It's been up for quite a while recently with me. Can anyone recommend a dehumidifier for a room approx 13' * 8' ?
At the moment, after the last few dry days it's around 47/48 which appears to be roughly perfect. But it has been in the fifties regularly, in the sixties quite often and over 70 occasionally.
I've got the disposable demudifiers which must help to some extent but don't do the whole job.

I have a dehumidifier John, but it's about 22 years old! Still works mind, and I use it Spring-late Autumn. Been using a room humidifier recently though. A friend of mine has a newer, digital model that works both ways and keeps the room at an even humidity year round, maybe that's the best way?

If they still make them after all these years. There's probably a newer model.
