Sorry to hear the talented musician, Neil Innes has died. Loved him in the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and of course the Rutles and other Python stuff. Only 75 years young. RIP.

Oh, sorry to hear that. A lovely bloke who never really got the plaudits he deserved.

Aye, a great song-writer, and given the longevity of some folk, 75 years isn't a great age. Still, at least he wasn't 27. Guess we've all gotta go some time...

I was sorry to read, earlier this evening, of his death. Really enjoyed his music and major contributions to the Bonzos, Rutles and Pythons. Not just a great musician, but all who knew him seem to refer to him as "a lovely man". He'll be missed.

Very sudden, very unexpected and very sad indeed - far too young, and a huge loss. Bonzos, Rutles and Python - what a great CV! But despite fame he remained a sweet and gentle man. I remember first seeing him on Do Not Adjust Your Set in my very early teens, quite an unusual choice of music act for a childrens show, but a wonderful band of eccentrics. His ability to capture the Beatles essence in the Rutles songs was more than impressive. As evidenced by George Harrions comment that he preferred the Rutles to the Beatles. Sometimes hearing of a passing hits hard even when you don't know the person and have never met them - this is one of those times. RIP.
