I'm curious who you'd recommend in the midlands for repair work on a vintage instrument? I've tried quite a few of the local guys for set ups and the like, but I'm not sure who I'd trust with something more major.

Thanks guys. Colin Keefe is closer to me, but his website seems to be offline...

Last time (a few weeks ago) I tried to ask A J Lucas to do some work, he said he wasn't finding time to do any guitar stuff at the moment.

Roger Williams in Lichfield is both a luthier and a respected repair man.

I don't know about the midlands but if the instrument is expensive and/or important to you then it's worth travelling to see Haim at LA Guitars in Finchley, North London. He's very good and experienced with with vintage guitars.
