I am looking out for a chord book which features chords in non standard tunings open A ,G D that sort of thing does anyone know if such a time exists.? Hi Paul, I have just done a couple of lessons with my guitar group on the basics of Open D which I really like using. I did a basic handout to get them started and have attached it here. Hopefully it covers the ground, a lot of which if not all you will already know. I think the most useful bit of the handout was to list some of the songs that we've done as a group in standard tuning and show how easily they can be played in Open D with only a minimum of new chord shapes to learn. Most of the songs listed can be played with the chords shown. I also show then a few very easy movable chords which again are pretty easy to learn and play. Hope this might be of use to you. Give me a yell if you want to follow it up with any questions. Regards John
