So I looked into this mini guitar course thingy, sounds all very impressive, the intro video is very in depth but quite talky, and then right at the end he mentioned money, oh well, it was going well 😉 Anyway the idea behind the course is a a way of playing chords, moving just 2 fingers. I haven't tried these yet, might have a go later, but I was wondering what you guys think of these chords...

All looks strange to me. Seeing that 3rd and 4th finger holding the D and G notes down, irrespective of chord, might work for a few songs (Oasis!) but can't see that it's going to help a beginner get very far without getting very confused indeed,

I tried them. They all sounded pretty much the same, and made my guitar sound out of tune.

mm, I use the G and C chord shapes shown all the time - which for me are more country/bluegrass shapes. Every Major chord needs a I, III, and V note, and all or any can be repeated retaining the major denomination.
Every CHORD shape with these plus something is a Major + something or other. I think the C shape shown is simply a C+9. the D chord shown is a D-sus (?) and also an Asus and I think the Em shown is an Em11, and the F is an F6.
I note that they show four finger positions which s somewhat ironic for Django chords.

I've used all of those - some more than others, especially the G,C and Em. I can't say I'd associate them with Django/Gypsy Jazz though.

I'm a little late to this thread and was wondering if anyone could give me a link to the photos of the OP (I can't see any). Any technique that might make playing guitar a bit easier is worth looking into.
