I think there's a lot of sense in what Eric says here but following it is another matter ☺️ I do waste a lot of time looking at, reading about and thinking about guitars and I suppose it's definitely GAS

I agree, keep it simple. I am beginning to see that too many guitars are a distraction.
Said by someone who has another one on the way. (;-)

Phil Taylor I followed this series as it came out day by day. It's worth doing for anyone interested. There'sa lot of really good stuff in this series that makes you properly think about what you are doing. When it comes to gear — especially performance gear — I think this is spot on.

How will it compare to the Gitano I just bt frpom Jeff? see yer, Peter I can't remember but the one he uses is a similar design to many on the market but his is made from leather — I seem to remember he inherited it from a friend. These guitar lifts are great but they won't work with french polish for some reason.

I had my eye on a Froggy from TFOA, after a lot of haggling we came to an agreement. That was in February, it landed in the UK on the 1st March and I paid the duty and it was due for delivery on the 2nd March at 11:15AM. I am still waiting........
I get an email from UPS now and again saying is delayed due to Brexit. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund, TFOA said they can't refund until the guitar is back with them. I am not too worried, due to all the hassle TFOA has said I can return it and I don't have to pay the carriage and they also knocked off another 300 Euro. If it does not turn up next week I'll just process a chargeback on my CC for the guitar and the duty.
UPS are impossible to get hold of, their website sucks and no one answers the phone. TFOA can't tell me what part of the UK it's in.
I didn't need another guitar anyway

It's ok to want" or words to that effect

Nightmare! I was fully expecting Brexit to be an utter shambles, but to pay the duty and then to have the guitar 'lost' by UPS is deplorable. A pity - Froggies are fantastic

With major purchases I will ask which courier is being used. If they can't give me an latyernative to UPS then I will not continue with the order. They are much better for smalllocal deliveries but they give you so little feedback I'd rather not put myself through the pain!

I started with Day One and immediately got confused, I must admit I get very confused when it comes to working with a metranome.
I don't get the offbeat routine.
If there are 1/8 the notes the downbeat is on the metronome click and the offbeat (upstroke) is in between the clicks, is he saying reverse that?

I had the same experience. I can see that, if you keep the 1 as the start of a 1 2 3 4, and then with the metronome start on the 2 then you are, effectively, starting to play after the starting point i.e. behind the beat. I think I'm going to persevere, I'd heard something similar from someone else who related it to bluegrass. I may try deliberately counting the 'ands' and see where that gets me. Apart from that, good videos I thought.

I've given up with metronomes, they never keep time with me.

Thanks for sharing - seems like a really great set of videos. Just watched the first two and looking forward to watching the rest of the series.
