www.dropbox.com/s/wcymrnlg0h1dd7i/Photo%2018-04-2021%2C%2012%2022%2038.heic?dl=0I spotted this yesterday it frankly appalled me. I’m not adverse to upcycling far from it but when something potentially useful is made into a piece of tat I just find it so sad . I remember a few years ago the now defunct Music Room used a guitar neck for a door handle for their front door that seemed fine and not at all out of place. Another stall on the same site purportedly sold specialist cheeses. Their specialty what Chip Shop Curry flavoured cheese. Perhaps I was in the wrong place

What's with this trend for making instruments into lamps? I've seen clarinets trumpets and flutes made into lamps, now guitars? Well at least pianos are safe...

My main instrument is: suffering gratuitous abuse at my hands.

I'd rather see lamps converted to guitars.. They'd only be able to take light gauge strings.

What's with this trend for making instruments into lamps? I've seen clarinets trumpets and flutes made into lamps, now guitars? Well at least pianos are safe... A bar I used to play in Shrewsbury had wall lights made from saxophones. They weren't exactly to my taste, but I always thought it was quite nice that somewhere out there a half dozen open mic nights and blues jams had been spared.

Can a banjo be recycled, repurposed, unmade?

Can a banjo be recycled, repurposed, unmade? Possibly one of those old fashioned Victorian bed warmers?

Looks like Sid from Toy Story has turned to mutilating guitars after the toys took their revenge.

"So I bought this guitar but it turns out it's far harder to play than I thought it was and, not having any commitment whatsoever, I turned it into a lavatory seat instead. Aren't I clever."

Can a banjo be recycled, repurposed, unmade? As a devotee of banjos this might have upset me, but in the end it's only a Deering.
