I've never really took interest or listened to anyone playing a tenor guitar before. I'm pleasantly surprised And one of Nigel's stunning creations... Should be easier to play with less strings to fumble about with shouldn't it? Phil

I'm a big fan of Mary Hampton and whenever I saw her live I'd always consider getting a tenor afterwards. (Sadly she doesn't seem to perform or record any more)
I've tried out a few tenors in the branch of Hobgoblin near my work. I think if I didn't already play mandolin I'd consider it but, already owning a mandolin, getting a tenor felt a bit unnecessary.

I usually find the sound of the tenor guitar a bit lacking in warmth and fullness. The cheaper ones really suffer from that. Those two videos you linked Phil are certainly exceptions - very full sound and very musically pleasing too. Mary Hampton makes the tenor sound great as an accompaniment to her voice too - very expressive playing.

Many thanks for the Mary Hampton Matt Milton - that's a 'find' for me.
