Wonderful! I never thought Guy could ever have been that young. I’m surprised he lived as long as he did. He also wrote on of Mrs doc’s favourite love songs.

I think that clip is from Heartworn Highways, a fascinating documentary which features Guy Clark singing (and performing a little lutherie) and several of his contemporaries, including Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earl. Well worth tracking down. Here is one of my favourite Guy Clark compositions "Step inside this House" which is the first song he ever wrote. It's performed by Lyle Lovett as he (Guy) never recorded it.
