I agree great guitar and video. I started consolidating my guitars as well. I wish I had known about his work when I was in my late teens and got into handmade guitars (roughly when this one was made) Similar to the late David Oddy, phenomenal builders who didn’t charge an arm and a leg for exceptional guitars. A different era and generation I guess.

I had a parlour guitar built by Peter in the early 2000s, based on a Martin size 0. I was going to use it for travelling, but then I got a Brunner and the Abnett sat around unplayed, and was eventually sold a couple of years ago.
Peter was a pleasure to work with and his instruments were very reasonably priced. He seemed to delight in making just about anything with strings. When I visited him to pick up the guitar he had a pile of lute cases in the corner of his living room, and he explained that his son (I think, it was a long time ago) was a lutenist and so he used to make instruments for him. The idea with lutes is to build them as light as possible, and he showed me a case full of bits of wood, where one had been built a bit too lightly and had imploded one evening.
