I put the poor beast through its paces today - a bit of strummage, a bit of picking and even some plectrum abuse. Not familiar with the audio software I'm afraid and not a decent mic, so you'll have to imagine what it's really like.
In the end my friend was happy for me to take it off his hands to give it a new lease of life - it needs work obviously, even strung up with 11s (Silk and Steel) and tuned a tone lower (first piece in DADGAD too), I think it fairs quite well.
Hope you enjoy the toons. It's fan braced, which I suppose gives it a unique tone for a steel strung guitar.
Cheers

Articulate, sweet, warm, well-proportioned, cuddly. Guitar's not bad either. Looking forward to trying that one Jonny! Keith

Is it a video artifact or does the bass E really wobble a lot when you pluck it fingerstyle? It looks quite amazing.

I spotted that too - something to do with the frames per second I think.

"That "Ovation sound" you mean " Ah, forgot that one - not that I own one or anything. How much does the fan bracing make up the Ovation sound though? Interesting choice of bracing.

Some "modern" makers use variations of fan braces below the bridge plate on X braced steel stings - Rick Turner for one as did Steve Fischer on Ian's recent guitar.

Probably a good thing! That would be YouTube's new quality control.
Try to view it directly in YouTube? (Click on the YouTube icon on the vid here and it should take you to it.)
