How many of you guys read this mag ? I'm only on my second edition and I already love it.
And if you don't maybe my post will give them a little circulation boost.
John

Hadn't come across it before John, but looking at their website www.rock-n-reel.co.uk/it looks worthy of investigation! And, they claim that WHSmiths in Taunton stocks it, though I've never noticed it there - must look v carefully next time I'm in there for a bit of a read while Mrs O'C is doing whatever it is ladies do in shops. Thanks John! Keith

Hi all, I subscribe to it, it really is a great read, strangely I came across it in an advert in Acoustic magazine. I picked up a couple of copies cheap on Ebay, liked it and have since subscribed. My first subscription copy also had my musical hero Billy Bragg on the cover, if you like folk, roots Americana or singer songwriter type stuff then give it a try. It also has some serious listings for gigs and the cover mount CD's have all been excellent and it is now costing me a fortune buying some the music from the artists featured. Cheers Paul.

I'll need to look and see if my local wh smith has them I like the sound of that . I'm a bit of a Bragg fan too . In fact I was jamming with the other guitarist / singer today and we were playing to have and to have not and deportee . My last play for a few days as I'm going to be quite busy .

For any of you who may have thought about buying this mag, in the current Acoustic on page 89 there's an advert offering a free copy of the mag. Merry Christmas everyone. John

Just managed to get hold of the February copy from WH Smug, seems to sell out well which is a good sign in my view lots of interesting looking stuff and some useful postings about up and coming acts at local folk clubs.

Halfway through this and I am very impressed, good folk club and festival listings, some interesting interviews all different types of media reviews DVD, CD Download.
Wide range of musical tastes catered for and an editor prepared to defend the opinions of the reviewers when challenged.
A free CD of tracks including Eddie Reader so far so good. A decent cover price as well.
Will post a further update when I have finished the mag

Just subscribed. Anyone read the Martin Simpson interview in a previous issue? I'll order it if it's 'worthwhile'.
Alasdair.
