Went to see Andy Irvine playing at a local pub last night, unbeknown to me the missus took this snap of me buying a CD off Andy after the show: It was a fabulous gig. I haven't seen him play for a few years and had nearly forgotten how inventive his bouzouki accompaniment is - always toying with both the melody and rhythm, though never undermining the vocals of some epic songs. Loved it! He did a great version of Ranger's Command (famously sung by Woody Guthrie) with what seemed to be a sort of slide rhythm, I was asking him in the above photo is this has been recorded but apparently not. He also did a fine version of Cumberland And The Merrimac, which I knew from a Jeff Davis CD. I bet you'd all love to see some photos of Andy Irvine's instruments too? He was surrounded by four beautiful examples of the bouzouki/mandolin family, one with a guitar body and the rest teardrop shapes. I think at least two of them were Sobell's and all looked stunning. And I regret I didn't take any pictures of any of them. So, do you have any rubbish photos of yourself with anyone good?

Here's a picture of me with Chris Martin signing my guitar ... maybe he's not a great player but certainly a great owner of a great guitar company. Rubbish of me because I am really very slim and beautiful :

Keith But he is also the one without a proper beard, so you can hold your head high whatever your gastronomic capacity (hindered as it is by the absence of glurk to grease the passageways) Brian

This one is a bit rubbish as I have really long hair, but then it is Bert Jansch so I don't care! And this one is a bit rubbish as my iPhone decided I was a blurry mess, but it's Martin Simpson!!

Good photos.
I have a picture with Tom Baker somewhere. Not someone who is affiliated with the acoustic guitar, but who cares it's Tom Baker!

This is the only one I can find and you can barely see me in it - I'm the nose, chin and shoulder bottom right. I wonder if anyone recognises the band? The guy on stage in front of me at the right of the photo has since tragically passed away.
