I've noticed some other forums have a shopping section where you can buy forum-branded merchandise like mugs and baseball caps. Perhaps with Christmas almost upon us, now would be a good time to launch a similar boutique here? Some suggested products:
Acoustic Soundmuff - a hand-knitted sheath you can simply pull over your guitar to keep it warm and dust-free when not in use. Available in either polycotton for year-round use, or polyester wool blend for the colder months.
Acoustic Soundscape - a cassette tape with a range of electronic white noise and the whooshing sound of running water etc., perfect background music for relaxation or giving your partner a nice rubdown.
Acoustic Breadboard - available in either spruce- or cedar-effect veneer, a guitar-shaped chunk of wood for slicing bread on.
Let's see if we can think of any more?

Thanks Del, the PlectraStand is far from forgotten, though we are experiencing some production difficulties in meeting the unanticipatedly high demand...
Meanwhile I have a couple more lines for the ASB shopping range:
Acoustic CheeseBoard - actually the same product as the Acoustic Breadboard, but with a selection of guitar-related cheeses, including Stiltone, Freta and Camembert-weedon.
Acoustic Skateboard - actually this is NOT guitar-shaped or anything daft like that, its just a normal skateboard. With an Acoustic SoundBoard sticker on it.

More possibilities: The Acoustic acrostic soundboard soundbite eg: Loads Of Worldwide Despots Encourage Nastiness or, even: Get Under Insulated Tarpaulins Artistically Repaired How about: A branch which, when beaten with another branch or twig, reverberates widely. You could call this an Echo Stick Sounds Broad.

Another commercial opportunity might be stick-on beards for the facialliy follically disadvantaged. It is well known that facial hair improves guitar tone, isn't it?

A very fine idea, Brian. How cool is this? - And, for the ladies - And we shouldn't forget our younger members - Now, I know that Martin's lovely wife Shona is a dab hand with needles and wool, and Martin probably still has a lot of Forum business card left over which could be stitched onto the beards, logo facing outwards thereby hiding the out of date (nearly) calendar. Genius!! Keith

Excellent ocarolan! I look forward to Martin and his domestic line manager working together on this. The scope for a custom tartan beard will surely appeal? Brian

Further suggestion of the musical efficacy of facial at question 5 here. Can you afford to have bald cheeks?! Brian

Well, I'd be happy to knit the guitar sheath. Admittedly, my first attempt ended up looking like a baby cardigan, so if I use a baby cardigan pattern it's bound to come out guitar-shaped.
