Anybody fancy a guitar get together day on Saturday 10th May in my office in Wimborne in Dorset?
I'll do the usual lunch, beer and wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee stuff.
It's been about a year since I did one and Eric (The Corner) came to that one. It was the last time I saw him before he died.
As you know, I don't ask for any kind of financial contribution for my guitar days, but I have a sort of hankering to use the day to raise some money for any cause that Eric's widow thinks would be appropriate.
Anybody got any views on this?
I'll post more detail about the event nearer the time, but if I could just get some idea of who's interested that would be good.

Doubt I'll be able to attend Paul due to the distance and probably date as well, but I do hope it goes well.
I promise to try harder to make one of your do's in the future.
I think the idea to raise money in connection with Eric is good, though and I'd be happy to contribute if possible.

I'll try to be there but even if I don't make it I'm happy to donate to a charity in memory of Eric.
Cheers Vic

Hope to be there again Paul - great stuff. Also more than happy to use the occasion in the way you suggest in Eric's memory if his widow thinks it a good idea. Looking forward to it already. Your do's have become a legend in their own lunchtime and are always thoroughly good fun. Keith

Hope to be there Paul, really enjoyed last years and really sorry something cropped up that caused me to miss your birthday celebrations last year that I had planned to attend. Strange it occurred to me too that it was about this time last year we all spent a jolly day with Eric last year, he was a true gent, I'll be more than happy to donate to whatever you decide to do.

Sorry Paul, can't make it as I'm in Switzerland the whole week. Maybe next year.
Nevertheless, please let me know about the donation. I never met Eric personally, but I would like donate something in his memory.

Coming up soon, Guys. Any takers? I have about 6 or 7 confirmed attendees. That's enough for me to make it definite, but if you would kindly signify your intention to attend, I'd appreciate it. Need some idea of numbers for catering, you see.
Here's the format:
Turn up anytime you like from 11:00am. I have parking for up to 8 cars (officially but we have had 12 cars in there). General playing and chatting and drinking coffee/tea/beer/wine and munching snacks until everybody's fed up (usually about 5:00pm -earlier departures are permitted) punctuated only by a break of an hour or so for lunch which I shall provide.
I have decided not to use the day as a focus for fundraising in memory of Eric (The Corner).
It's in Wimborne in Dorset on 10th May. I'll PM everybody who expresses interest with the address, contact details etc.
If you have any dietary needs/preferences, please let me know.

Just to clarify, When I say comparing dreds I didn't mean yourself and Tony Woods in your wigs playing folky 10cc songs!
