I'm sure I have some sort of addiction to guitar modification or something I have a distaste for undersaddle pickups, but a love for soundhole pickups, this is the reason I replaced the pickup in my Gibson J-35 with a Baggs M1A and I have just taken the fishman pickup out of my Vintage paul brett 12 string, I have never used the pickup in that guitar and like I said I am not a fan of UST's so I took it out, I may replace it with a soundhole pickup one day but for now I am thinking it is a guitar best left acoustic. The problem is that there is now a 1/2" hole in the bottom of the guitar, I think there is a type of 2 piece endpin that taylor uses allows a strap button to be added with the large hole, is there anywhere to get one of these in the UK.

Good find Alex! The seller, Jon Press, is one of the good guys - sells lots of K&K stuff on ebay - have dealt with him on quite a few occasions and have always been well pleased. You might be interested in his website too - www.jp-guitars.co.uk/I share your dislike of USTs, though I have to say that I really like the plugged in sound of my own PB12 - it's the only instrument I haven't put K&Ks in! Thanks!
The sound of my PB12 was nice plugged in, much better than the Baggs element which used to be in my J-35 before I switched it out but I only play my PB12 acoustically, I plugged it in once to check that the pickup actually worked and that was it so I just thought there was no point keeping it in, I will probably end up selling that fishman pickup as I have no use for it.

A bit late on the uptake, but if you want something wooden, then try Bob Colosi - www.guitarsaddles.com - he made me a wooden 1/2inch end pin for a guitar I built, and it's great!
