Nice looking guitar as well. Oh yes, it is. Unfortunately one cannot see the guitar's back. The maple, allthough it's a laminate, is stunning.

Great player......just shows yet again..it's the player...not the guitar. all that lovely tone from a relatively cheap instrument...wow.

I wouldn't call a Fusion Maple relatively cheap, but that's just a question of the point of view.
However, you're absolutely right: a good player can make magic with a little more than a crap guitar. Whereas a crap player won't get anything interesting out of an excellent guitar.

Very impressive! He made it sound like a flamenco guitar. Here is a video of that same guitar played in different styles. Judge for yourself if it might even be a kind of flamenco guitar Cordoba Fusion 12/14 Maple

Good grief!
Haven't heard that in ages...
Used to have "A Friday Night in San Francisco" by John MacLaughlin, Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia (on vinyl) donkeys years ago. I'd forgotten all about it. Med Sundanve was the first track.
Thanks for posting - taken me back on this Monday morning.
Alasdair.

That reminded me - in the past I have looked at this one because of the thin body, but decided against it because of it being electro-acoustic. www.thomann.de/gb/cordoba_55fce_thinbody_negra.htm

That reminded me - in the past I have looked at this one because of the thin body, but decided against it because of it being electro-acoustic. So far I haven't found one which includes a cutaway but comes without pickup. The Negra comes with a wider neck of 50mm, as far as I know. That's why I would prefer the Fusion series with a 48mm nut width. And I don't mind the pickup I'll probably test them both next month.
