Thanks for posting the video Dave. A bit strange as i was going post a thread regarding women luthiers and are any out there. Really good video Dave. Yes there are quite a few top rate female guitar builders out there. Probably the one that has had the greatest influence of other builders is Kathy Matsushita, Kathy's website is probably the most viewed guitar maker's website there is, She is a part time builder, but a lot of makers got their 'how To' information from her. I'm probably biased as she does reference me on her site, but Kathy is right up there with Cumpiano and Kinnaird in her influence on new builders. Then of course there's Kathy Wingert and Linda Manzer, real high end makers. Colin

There's Jayne Henderson, the daughter of Wayne Henderson, who has one of the longest waiting lists in the I read something along the lines that Kathrin's guitars at £15k or so are well really priced in comparison to her father's guitars Hermann Hauser III, who's guitars she assists the builds with. She's 33 or so, so I can't even imagine what kind of price tag her guitars will go for in a decade or so.

Steve Segdwick told me about Victoria Hurley who makes and repairs guitars based in Orpington, Kent. One to look out for. I'm still gently working on my four daughters to see if they want to follow their mad father

I'm off to the Holy Grail Berlin event - there seem to be quite a few decent women luthiers in. Germany and elsewhere in Europe!

I forgot to mention that Peggy White will be coming with Linda Manzer. I haven't played her guitars yet but will be ordering some. On the female luthiers front there is also Sharleene Simmons. I'm hoping to be working with her soon too. peggywhite.ca/www.simmonscustomguitars.com/

Celine Camerlynck is Denmark St's resident luthier (luthière?). Not sure if she builds her own instruments but certainly rebuilds and restores some of the finest.
