my new/second hand Brook arrived today, bought from Chris501 from this forum, what a fantastic guitar, I took a chance and went on recommendation and I'm not disappointed, you can see the pics Chris posted, it's a real beauty, I may at some point get a pick-up fitted but, I'll wait a while and just get used to it first. The craftsmanship of build is real quality, and a great sound just tops it off nicely. Would love to pay a visit to the guy's at Brook and just hang around for a few hours and have a little look at their other guitars. Many thanks to Chris for letting this one go, I promise to look after it !!

Hey Chad, enjoy it. There's a brand new barrel jack fitted in it, totally unused, ready for a pickup. Really glad it arrived safely. I send guitars out every day from the shop without a second thought and without incident, but I woke up worrying this morning about this one. Anyway, all good. The more you play it, the more you'll hear. Try playing the C note on the 3rd string, 5th fret. It turns into a harmonic almost straight away. There are others, you'll find them.

Thanks pct57, I take it you have experience with Brooks, or should I ask how many do you have?

thanks everyone, seems you are all well into these great guitars, just glad I've found them at last We really wouldn't know much about them relying on the guitar magazines right enough. The last 10 months this forum has been a real education for me about what makes for good acoustic instruments. Mark

Thanks pct57, I take it you have experience with Brooks, or should I ask how many do you have? Only two chad. I bought a Torridge 'used' which appeared to be completely unplayed 4 years ago and in Sept 2013 picked up a custom Lyn which can be seen on my avatar. Really like them both so no plans to get another. Cheers Phil

Nice one chad... I'm sure it's a beauty. I own a Torridge and have been hankering after a Clyst. Enjoy. Cheers, marcus
