Nicely done, Martin.
Looks like a beauty and a bargain.
That's the weekend sorted, then...

Great looking guitar Martin! Carbon strings seem to be like Elixirs people seem to love them or hate them. The medium tension Savarez Alliance (red) might been a good place to start, this has the brightest top E I have heard (too bright for me, but my guitar has a spruce top) So ....Savarez Alliance medium tension (red) if slightly too bright.... Savarez Alliance high tension (blue) If way too bright.......Augustine Imperials (these are nylon) Ears bleeding........D'addario Pro Arte EJ 45 (also nylon)

Looks great - and well above the usual for a 20 year old guitar. Congrats! Mark

Been playing it a lot today, and it sounds very good. It does need new strings, though. I ordered Savarez as recommended above

At that price it looks a real steal! I think the Burguet student models could be made at the Esteve factory which is no bad thing. I've played similarly priced Manuel Adalid and Juan Hernandez guitars both made at the Esteve factory and thought them both outstanding. With a hiscox case the value of the guitar should be more like 785. It’s a bit late with this info however for anyone reading this review,Amalio Burguet guitars are all made in-house by the Burguet family and none of their guitars are made by an outside factory. All Burguet guitars are made by hand regardless of whether it is a High end Guitar or a Low end guitar and also you can visit the workshop in Valencia.

Thanks for the additional info - I have been the owner of Martin's guitar for a few years now - it came home with me from one of our annual meetups a while back! Hope you'll enjoy the Forum - I look forward to more of your posts! Keith
