Information overload with so much going on, and I think I'd feel inadequate with so much in such a short period. Just done a one day "Guitar for song accompaniement" course organised by Folkus. A helpful course but I think I might have peaked! Folkus is a Folk Arts organisation in the north west of England and run one day courses at various venues for various instruments.

Leo, I would'nt presume to give any playing advice to anyone on here! I've heard some of you play at t'Duck. The tutor on my Folkus course was Derek Gifford. He gave some non-playing advice that I agreed with and had actually already started to do---- If you sing and play at sessions keep a record of what you performed and where, to avoid repeating songs too soon. Seems obvious but I know that if I did'nt go to each of the 7 or 8 sessions I attend each month without pre-planning what I am going to do I would end up performing the same (very) few "comfort zone" songs all the time.
