Whilst browsing eBay I came across a Faith Mercury High Gloss Parlour Guitar. Advertised as being less than 12 months old. Seller said he was selling because he had hardly played it due to family commitments. Guitar was in mint condition and there was less than 24 hours of bidding left. Checked eBay half hour before bidding was to end, only one bid and there was no reserve on the guitar. In a rush of blood I put a bid on not even thinking I would get it. Half an hour later I now have a Faith Mercury High Gloss Parlour guitar to go with my Faith High Gloss Venus. Guitar is like new and got it for half the price of a new one. All solid wood guitar for £300, ver very happy. Will post some pictures once I've dissed out how to upload them.

If this has worked then it should show my little collection.

If this has worked then it should show my little collection. Just a point about posting pics...once uploaded to Photobucket, go to the pic and then click on the IMG link to the right hand side of it (just left click once should do the trick). Then navigate to the forum post where you want to put it, right click the mouse and from the menu, select 'paste'. That should be it - it will show one piccy at a time, not a whole library.

The Faith Mercury had been on my list of guitars to try if ever I encountered one. Rarities round here. Everything I've seen and heard about them suggests they're well worth a try. However I've spent all my money now. Congratulations on your great find! Mark

Thanks guys. Yes what a lovely pair. Yes I dropped very lucky. Basically I bought it blind, put my faith in Faith so to speak. Viking Blues well worth a try, you won't be disappointed.

thejamsinger I have the Faith Mercury High gloss too... I freaking love it... best bang for your buck you can get... all solid wood where would you get it. I didn't get mine for a bargain like you but I did get a good deal when I bought it new around 20 months ago. Think it cost me 650 euro delivered to Ireland so about 500 pound. The case it comes with is superb too. Is yours the non electric ? by the way have you ever thought of fitting a pick guard to any of your faiths? would it ruin the look? To be honest I mainly play strumming with my hand not a pick...

You can get a clear, static pickguard if you want to get some protection that won't ruin the look of your guitar. Plus, you can remove it whenever you feel like it. They seem to be quite hard to purchase in the UK just now, but here's a link to one: www.richtonemusic.co.uk/products/taylor_static_universal_pickguard.asp?gclid=CK3YnsvI4skCFQqdGwodDnUCvw
