On Sunday I am going to see my all time favorite musician, Justin Townes Earle, I have waited a long time for this opportunity, if I am lucky I am hoping to meet him, and if I meet him I would like to get my guitar signed, or rather one of my guitars, I have two guitars in the herd that are like what Justin played (although Justin played the Epi elitist texan) I was wondering, 1) which one to get signed and 2) what writing implement to use that will last and not fade away too quickly. The other great thing is, three days after seeing Justin I am going to see Tommy Emmanuel for the second time!!

Yes to the Sharpie... Get the pick guard signed then, if you later come to regret it, it's easy to sort

Can't sign the pickguard or anywhere on the upper bout, it would rub off in no time, I'll not regret it, sharpie can come off with elbow grease anyways, I'll probably be getting it signed on the bottom of the lower bout as then it won't rub it off

Take a small label for the signature - you can fix it removably inside the guitar and visible through the soundhole.
