I forgot to mention, my guitar playing chair doubles up as a cat bed.

I forgot to mention, my guitar playing chair doubles up as a cat bed. My office chair does too!

I sit on a kids stool that has all the alphabet and numbers from 1-10 and has a lovely engraved poem on it. Problem is it's only a foot off the ground.
But apart from that it's a smashing stool

Hi. Not sure if the OP is still looking, but I find a drummer's "throne" stool to be excellent. That said, there's a bit of a story behind mine... Kept as short as possible... I bought a Roc-n-Soc from GAK, and ordered the low base to go with it. Turns out the base they supply is not Roc-n-Soc's own, and is a little higher. After contacting the Roc-n-Soc UK distributor I have an original low base on order. In the meanwhile I'm using the slightly too high base that GAK very kindly refunded and said I could keep! It's a really comfortable round padded seat, spins, which I find useful, and is quite compact so doesn't look in the way in the back room that is my music room (and rarely dining room!). There's a backrest you can get for it, but I've not bothered as yet. It does work out very expensive, compared to a basic chair, but in the scheme of things I think it's worth it.
