I've had my D-28 for a month now, and absolutely love it, so I thought I'd introduce her now that I've joined up here. As a beginner I'm not doing her justice yet, I'm sure. I bought her from Dave Mann in Notingham, and tried a number of guitars including an HD-28 and D-35 and this one stood out as the best of the bunch. I played them all for a couple of hours, and listened to them being played too. I'm very, very happy with my choice.

I might be wrong, but I think 007 hangs around David Mann's store

Beautiful top. If I had to start over and only have one guitar, it would be a D28.

Beautiful. Play it hard and often and it will get better before your very eyes and ears. It's an amazing transformation enjoying a young guitar's blossoming.

Nice guitar welcome to the forum WB.
I have been into Daves place a few times they have some nice stuff. I don't know where you are in Nottingham but you would be very welcome at the Guitar club I go to PM me if you are interested.

Hi 00.. I'm not actually in Nottingham - I'm in Berkshire - I made the trip to Dave's following recommendations on another forum - and I'm glad I did as it was the best D-28 I picked up of the handful I tried. Well worth the trip. The invite is much appreciated, though obviously not a goer - but I'm really hoping to find out about similar clubs or groups where I am, Wokingham area for anyone else that may be able to point me in the right direction. Cams - yes I've heard there will be changes over time - I look forward to anything that might make a great guitar even better.

That could be the definition of a very good guitar, with the word "beginner" changed to whatever level the player might be at. It's a good choice to get something that you can aspire to improve with and try and match quality-wise. A plan that I really took some convincing about when I wondered about going for a quality instrument. Other members on this forum were quite right to encourage me to go for it. Have many years of great music together! Mark
