Been off the radar for a while due to moving (at long last) - but landed a gig in our newly adopted town of Chipping Norton this coming Friday. I thought I'd learn a few new pieces, popular pieces people may know... also on the list are markt's DADGAD pieces and the good ole faves that haven't let me down for twenty years or so (jazz, folk and blues standards). Here's a taster: Background music is my thing, but hard to not 'perform' when the music takes over. I'm hoping it will lead to more gigs and perhaps some more students. Cheers Jonny

Best of luck, Jonny. If Cameron or Clarkson turn up, feel free to slap 'em

Hope this goes well Jonny - plugged in or not?
btw, is that just an unshaven look, or are you deliberately starting a beard?

Good luck with it Jonny. The beard, I mean. Oh, and good luck also with your gig

Jonny,
Glad that you've finally moved in and enjoy the gig.

Thanks for the replies. I'll do my Billy Bragg set if any of that lot turn up leoroberts! Plugged in ocarolan - mic for the classical and K and K for the Kostal... through Robbie's old Headway, then into a PA. Sorry Keith. The beard is just laziness I'm afraid, but I rarely shave properly these days. I'm finding recording myself helps decide which pieces are worth playing and which aren't. Here's another batch... name that tune!

Thanks for asking Leo - well. They were turning people away due to lack of space! The Kostal sound was much appreciated... I played it in mostly DADGAD, then decided to tune it to standard and keep the mic'd up nylon string just for the more classical style stuff.
Haven't heard if they want me back yet.
