I've been spending a lot of time playing guitars (nylon strings) with wider string spacing at the saddle and when I switch to playing my acoustic guitar I am finding the it's 2 3/16" is on the narrow side of things and is creating hand pains so it is probably time to look into buying a new guitar.
Does anyone know of an acoustic guitar which fits the following specs?
- 00 sized (preferably 14 frets) - has saddle string spacing of 2 5/16" (or more) - all solid - under a £1k or so?
The only guitar I have found which has fit those specs is the Eastman E10 OO, I tried one which I was very nice guitar but for whatever reason I didn't really take to the guitar as much as I expected I would.
I've come across a few guitars which would provide a fit for what I am looking for, but they are twice the budget and they include the Collings Waterloo model and the Martin CEO-7.
Does anyone know of any guitars that fit the specifications which I detailed above? There is the chance I may be asking for too much without going the custom route.

Not sure but have a look at the Larrivee brand - about top of your price range but made for fingerstyle and you might find a good width.
Also, be aware that neck profile can give you the sense of a wider or narrow fingerboard while actual width is the same! Sounds like a morning in London is required to play as many guitars as you can!

The neck profile/fingerboard is a generally a fretting hand issue, I am seeking to rectify picking hand hand issues. How's your Lucas treating you Andy btw?

The Lucas is doing very well. It is now well settled in and it feels part of me now. Must do some more recording. The fan fret is just enough to give more definition and oomph to the base - the 1st never goes higher than D.
