No, not the John Lennon song...
There I was, getting along just fine with the guitar and music, new guitar on order, how exciting... and was struck down with some sort of ear infection which left me with tinnitus. Initially it was just painful to try and play, but after 6 months or so, either I've got used to the ringing in my head or it's subsided enough that I can play.
Been playing now for a whole 2 days, oh dear dear me! Trying to hit the right string with the pick is hard enough, but trying to read dots - I'm back to counting the lines and spaces: Every Good Boy... F, A C, E !
It's not all bad news though. I've now only got to wait about 8 months for the Taran, which at least gives me some time to learn to play again!
Off to the plucky duck now to see what you've all been up to...

Welcome back! Sorry you've been having ear problems, but good to know things are improving - happy playing!

Glad to hear it's settled down enough for you to play again! I bet it comes back quickly (they say it's like riding a bicycle anyway - I never learned when I was young enough for things to go in easily!)
