My daughter sent me one of these a few years back. I tried it and decided it wasn't for me, a bit raspy, but I've just dug it out and tried again on my Lowden and it sounds wondrous. I think the special tones of the Lowden really suit it, especially with coated strings

Try using a 5p coin. Works great on steel strings for a hard tone.
