Anyone played this guitar?
Is it anygood, is sound quality better than Taylor GS Mini?
Is it good value for money or just paying for name on headstock ?

I haven't played one, although some on here have.
The general opinion from reviews I've read is that it is an excellent guitar, and good value at the price.
Here is a decent comparison video I saw for the two:

Excellent vid Martin. Great beard! The vid does seem to confirm the differences generally perceived to exist between the Martin sound and the Taylor sound, even on my little speakers. Keith

Until recently I had a GSMini mahogany, and just before xmas my cousin bought a Dread Jr. Having played both, I would say the Martin would be the better buy for me. Having said that, the Taylor is a fantastic instrument too.

I've just sold a gs mini and it was a great guitar other than I didn't like the feel of the neck

I played one last week for the first time. It was slightly smaller than I expected. I was surprised at how much I liked it. It had plenty of Martin tone and felt very well built. I wanted it to come home with me but my husband had other ideas...

I played both last week and my non-professional impression is that these guitars are excellent for shorter men with smaller hands - like myself. I found the Martin easier to play. If you do a lot of finger playing like me go for the Martin, if you do mostly strumming the Taylor is OK. It has more metallic sound. My personal opinion is that Simon & Patrick Heart of Wild Cherry for the same price has better sound than both especially for finger-playing.
