I was very taken with an Atkin J35 jumbo which had been commissioned by Forsyths Manchester. A 12 fret solid headstock guitar spruce top ovangenkol back and sides. £2000 was more than I could afford. I don't know if they still have it.

I have played quite a lot but never been wowed - always found them a bit lacking in oomph. I suppose at the current price point for a range of models which are heavily based on other people's guitars I'd probably be looking at buying an American guitar. A used Martin, Collings or Santa Cruz would probably be in the same ballpark and definitely capture what the Atkins are aiming at.
