Those of us who enjoy playing with others but very seldom get the chance check out the Digitech trio. It can be used with an electro acoustic or an electric guitar. They've also introduced a digitech trio plus. The plus is a looper.

I've not got one yet, but am seriously thinking of getting one. Have seen several videos on YouTube of people using them. They look like a lot of fun. Apparently some have used them in a live performance.

thejamsinger mentioned both but do make sure on one confuses the Trio with the Trio+ (or Trio Plus) and is the recent addition. Quite a difference in price - £130 and £220 for the two of them by the look of it just now. I believe from what I've seen that the Trio+ is much improved in a lot of respects in addition to now having a looper and is also more usable in a live situation. I found this was quite a useful thoughtful demo of the pedals use in a creative process. Mick Taylor (the ex Guitarist Magazine editor) and Peter Honore.
Not a demo with acoustic guitars I know, but it's still relevant in a lot of ways and takes time to show what the pedal does.

Just bought one. Although, as I was going through the process the price suddenly changed to £49.99 instead of £39.99. Still a great price though so I went ahead anyway. John

That's weird. Must have been a mistake in their webpage price I guess. Still as you say, a good saving EDIT: I see the price is amended to £49.99 now

What are the nuts and bolts on how it works? Is it a drum machine and I have to ' loop ' the two other channels on it. Or do you upload songs to it and play along/riff to them. Basically....will it be like Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker in the spare bedroom gigging with me!!?

In case of confusion ..... There is a Digitech Trio. There us also the newer model - the Digitech Trio+. I guess Gear4Music have some old stock.
There are quite a few differences in the newer model.
