Nearly recovered from my influenza type thingy and it's back to work next Monday. I'm really going to miss being able to log in here as and when I want. I've really enjoyed 'open access' to the forum.

I'm glad you've shaken off the dreaded MAN-FLU, but you'll need to find a way to stay logged in here as often as possible I like the lights and flags display

Cheer up - spend the day in the Plucky Duck (though from your great pic, and ignoring the W*lsh flags, you may already be there....), play/sing/chat/listen and drown your sorrows! Keith

It's a shame when flu is preferable to work. I believe hunter gatherers only work about 4 hours a day and spend the rest of time socializing and having fun. Is there nothing to hunt or gather in your area? It would be nice to take early retirement and spend more time forumizing.

missclarktree Now that is a fantastic suggestion and something I'm going to devote a considerable amount of time trying to achieve. I've never been a hunter and there's not much to gather around here. ocarolan I'm usually tee-total I'm afraid but might be persuaded to join in just for the sake of St Patrick's Day. @martin I hadn't noticed them until now but have to admire how the landlord colour coordinated the lava lamps.

So it's back to school tomorrow and the best class in the world. Happily, just a four day week though. Get to drive my son back up to York uni the week after Easter. I always enjoy the visit.

Hope it's going well! We've arranged to go to York during the Easter hols, just for a break. Seems I'm never away from that part of the country!

York. It's a fantastic place but I keep getting tempted by all of those book shops in the city centre. Love Red Cow music shop too.
