I have had K&Ks fitted in both my acoustics, my daughter's acoustic, my mando and my old mando. I'm now looking at getting one for my tenor guitar and my resonator . Luv 'em!

I'm gonna get one fitted in my new guitar. Never used one before and looking forward to trying it.

Yes, for the guitars I make I'll only fit the K&K, if a customer wants a different pickup, well he can get someone else to fit it! No, the customer isn't always right, I find that usually they need their opinions steered in the right direction! I'm going to fit the classical K&K into James Daubney's guitar, it'll be a first for me in a nylon string guitar. Colin Interesting Colin as I am very much thinking about putting one of these in the All English. Reading the instructions it all seems relatively straight forward for a normal person, but unfortunately I'm me. But don't worry I will probably have a crack (not literally) on my lesser guitar first.

Could some of you fine chaps point me to Soundcloud recordings (or others) demonstrating the K&K through a preamp on flat tone settings straight into a pc/desk?
I know they have a great reputation, but I'm still not convinced that it gives the most natural sound, which is what I'm always looking for.

If you look for an artificial sound that you find acceptable rather than look for the most natural sound you've a better chance of not being frustrated or as disappointed. I've never heard anything that sounds natural despite what the marketing blurb tells us or what the reviews say. The K&K mini if fitted properly does make a nice sound, easily as good if not better than most under saddle pickups. And you don't need a preamp. A DI box can be handy though. Of the under saddle variety, the DTar wavelength is the most pleasant I've fitted and that comes down to the 18v preamp more than anything else. nigel www.nkforsterguitars.com
