Hi there, been looking around the tinterweb and there doesn't seem to be much out there ref: strap system to carry a hard case on your back. The ones I've seen(back axe etc) are quite pricey and a decent gig bag could be bought cheaper! Anyone seen anything similar or could point me in the right direction? Any input/help would be appreciated!
Sean

I tried one once and they are really uncomfortable to carry. I bought a mono soft case instead.

Hi Sean, I know it's not a lot of help, but I'm only really aware of the straps that allow shoulder carry via the D rings on a hard case.
I second the notion of a good gig bag for backpack style carry, and Mono cases are excellent IMO.

My new classical guitar came with a black Crossrock fiberglass case (I think it's leather covered - fancy looking) with backpack straps. It's surprisingly comfortable to carry. It will take a guitar slightly bigger than a full size classical eg OM sized (I put in pads to snug up the classical) so I guess it depends what kind of guitar you need to put in it - it's lightweight, seems very sturdy - lots of latches and a super comfortable carry handle as well. They also make (more than twice as expensive) carbon fibre cases.

I use a case cover. It makes even a heavy Ameritage case comfortable.

jonnymosco had/has one. It looked lovely but I'd need to be convinced more on it's robustness and protective abilities - a Heathrow baggage handler or Hiscox stand on test would be required for me.

The BAM was fantastically easy to carry around - contoured to the shape of the guitar snugly, so not cumbersome and very light on the back.
In the classical instrument world BAM is what everybody uses, violins, cellos and at a guitar event I went to recently for classical guitar, all the pros had them.
Strength per pound spent, Hiscox is better value though.
