My guitar tutor is selling one. Can any of you banjoists out there give me an idea of value ? There's one on ebay and the guy is asking £550. Is that over the top ? John

I'm no expert, and would probably use Google extensively for my own purposes here, but from personal experience, I bought a Windsor Popular Model 2 (5-string) banjo a couple of years ago, in good condition, for around £200. The model 1 will likely be fancier, and therefore more expensive, but in my opinion, £550 seems too much. £300 *might* be more like it, dependent upon condition. Please feel free to disregard this as nonsense should Google provide a more reliable gauge

Thanks Martin. I only mentioned the £550 one because it was there. I din't have a clue what a reasonable value was. I'll check Google as you suggest.
