I have been 'uming and ahing' over which coated strings to try mainly because I detest changing them on my slot head Lyn so I took the plunge with this offer and bought some Nanoweb PB 12's. I have put them on the Lyn and the Martin and I am really impressed. They sound great, feel good and are less squeaky as well. I am going to put the remaining set on the Torridge. The test is will they last 3 to 5 times as long as my usual D'Addario EJ16's If they do I am hoping that it will be a year before I have to change the slot head which I really detest doing Phil

I've generally found the Nanowebs to be better than the Polywebs for my Brooks, though that might be more because the Nanos come in phosphor bronze. I tried a set of 80/20 Polys on my Tamar and they sounded awful - really brash and tinny. To my ears, the PB Nanos sound much warmer.
And they do last - I had a set of Nanos on my OM for the best part of a year before I noticed any significant drop-off in sound quality.

You should both try D'addario EXPS. These have become my favourite strings now, lasting a long time, but also sounding pretty 'normal'. So far have them on my C tuned Tavy (made up a set of custom sing,e strings) and my bass.

I use Elixir nanowebs on all my guitars. They last at least 6 months.

I keep a couple of guitars in Csus2 so it'd useful to know

I couldn't find them at first, but if you go to the D'Addario page then check the box for acoustic single strings you should be able to see them: www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/daddario-m3
