Hi everyone, I am organising a 2 day guitar festival in Stoke Newington, London over the weekend of 19th/20th of November 2016. The general thrust of the Festival is classical guitar - but the concert by Declan Zapala I think will interest you! Declan was brought up with folk music, received a classical training at the Royal College of music, and subsequently became inspired by the steel string percussive guitar scene. Players such as Eric Roche, Jon Gomm etc. His compositions fuse Irish, folk, percussive and contemporary influences. His creativity and virtuosity is something else... Declan plays in Stoke Newington at 7.30pm on Sunday the 20th November 2016. Details of all our events can be found here: www.stokenewingtonguitar.com

Next Saturday, 29th October, is Under The Bridge 5 - the latest in Phil Hare's series of annual acoustic guitar concerts at The Town Hall in March, Cambridgeshire. The headliner this year is the excellent Jacques Stotzem, and I'm chuffed to bits that Phil has very kindly asked me to play a 45 minute set in the afternoon concert, which starts at 2pm Phil's also running a guitar workshop between the afternoon and evening concerts. Details below: www.wegottickets.com/f/10177www.fenlandarts.org.uk/documents/utb5.pdf

I shall be running through a 30 minute set on Sunday evening at the Chaos Acoustic Club, Balsall Heath Birmingham. This is held at the Old Moseley Arms, Tindall Street, B12. starts at 8.00.
this is not an open mic but four feature acts — pretty decent quality.

I shall be running through a 30 minute set on Sunday evening at the Chaos Acoustic Club Hmm...the name doesn't inspire confidence! I've been to a few clubs like that myself...

It's not too bad despite being run by two deaf old roadies. Four artists doing 30 min spots with a pretty decent standard. And a raffle.

I'm on the radio tomorrow (Sunday 22nd) on internet station Fab Radio International - which, for those of us of a certain age, sounds like it should be broadcasting live from Tracy Island... Tune in to the Acoustic Eclectic show online at 1pm GMT to hear me playing some of my own songs live in the studio, and choosing three tracks by artists who have inspired me. fabradiointernational.com/fab-radio-schedule/sunday/wiz-mossleys-acoustic-eclectic
