You know that guitar with the pickguard Ian Stephenson did a video with last week? It sold the next day. Anyway, Tom Fletcher was briefly back in the NE (he's on tour with Frank Vignola) so on Tuesday I asked if he had time to pop to Ian's to record with the same guitar. Be nice to hear it with fingers rather than a pick. He didn't have long, so he did one take. Here it is: Canny eh? Nigel www.nkforsterguitars.com/instruments/handmade-acoustic-guitar-model-c/

Everything about that is joyous.
You make unbelievably beautiful sounding guitars.
Hat. Tipped.

Thank you for sharing that Nigel, Obviously a brilliant player, but the guitar does indeed have a beautiful warmth.

Well, just wow really nkforster. The tone is sublime and probably what I would call 'perfect' to my ears. Even though he plays with a thumbpick and nails the sound he produces is lovely a warm without a hint of (the sound descriptive words are difficult), dare I say, brittleness or harshness that I sometimes hear with the nails/rosewood combination. This no doubt is due to the combination of a top notch instrument and superb player at the top of his game. Superb Phil ps dreadnought28 - it's DADGAD I think.

He looks as if he might just burst into tears... and who could blame him?
