Many thanks to dreadnought28 for organising a great afternoon (it may well have been a great evening, too - but Andy and I had to leave at 17:30ish) Here are a few photos to give you a flavour... It was great to see andyhowell , geddarby , Phil Taylor , ianlp59 , lavaman , RosieTGC and Riverman . There may well have been other forum folk whom I didn't realise were forum folk (or whom I have forgotten - sorry) - If so, feel free to tag yourselves! The venue was great - very accessible, plenty of parking, a bar and free wifi. Pretty much my ideal set up! There was tea and coffee to start and a hot buffet served at about 15:00. The room was superb - big and airy...and pillarless We also had a side room (where the buffet was) which was used as a sort of quiet room (well, by me at any rate). Lots of guitars, as you would expect, from factory martins and Gibsons to 'boutique' Bowns, Turnstones, Brooks, Lucas's, Kinsherff's.... No photo comments from me - feel free to add your own captions I reckon only 1/3 of the folk that came were known to me...so many potential new forum members!

This is the room in which we met... and this is geddarby getting all bluesy - but I hadn't checked the recording levels so the sound is dreadful (sorry, Ged!)

Hi
What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon, big thanks to Chris for pulling this together.
I didn't get a chance to try all but I was very impressed with the Brook guitars, Ralph's and Chis's Mc Allister.
The quality of the workmanship and detail on Rosie's guitars was exceptional, I bit on the large side for my personal taste which is just as well as I could have been reaching for my credit card!
Regards
John

Thanks Chris for organising a great get together. I really enjoyed meeting old and new faces and having the opportunity to try out so many lovely instruments. Much appreciated. Ged

What everyone else said! Fab, relaxed afternoon with more high end guitars than you could ever wish for. Great venue too. Many thanks Chris ( dreadnought28) for putting it together!

Glad you all enjoyed it. Maybe we will do it again next year? It was quite amusing being asked what the format was. What format? I suppose it could be "turn up, play talk eat relax". And, I hope make friends.
Hats off to the hotel for the room, food, constant coffee and tea and excellent service. They were great to deal with right from the first approach.
