What price range would you be looking at? Where are you?
I'd be inclined to look for a good dealer rather than one of the Charing Cross box movers but then you might have to travel around a bit to find a good resonator in stock!

Are you looking at mid range Ozark thing or a National? A day trip to London or weekend break might be a good thing. I think you really have to play these things.

Hi Bob. Don't where you are based but Frailers in Runcorn has a good reputation. Not been there myself but I've heard a few good reports and the website looks good - has its own resonator guitar section with Ozark, Crafter, Dobro, National, Gretsch and others. Hope your search proves useful.

Sorry - just seen you are based in Grimsby. Look at the Frailers website anyway, it might give you some ideas.

Yes, do check out Frailers, a mate of mine here in Somerset dealt with them over the phone and being undecided between two he was sent both for the cost of one of them and told to just send back the one you don't want in a week or so. Mind you, they probably only did that to get him off the phone. This particular mate can be very boring....

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post i really do appreciate your feedback. Although i have dabbled Acoustically on and off for quite a few years now i have actually decided to take it a little bit more seriously....having been either a Frontman or Bassist in local cover bands since the late 70's i have got totally dissolusioned with the whole band scene and decided to go it alone playing open mike nights ect, no arguments, prima donnas, or inflated egos. So looking at maybe playing a few covers and original songs bit of Americana, Blues and some ballads but must improve drastically first lol. Thanks for the input guyz cheers Bob
