The programme is out for the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow in 2018. I bought tickets for I'm with Her, with Aoife O'Donovan, Sarah Jarosz and Sara Watkins, and Martin Simpson with Tony McManus. I'd like to see Kate Rusby but each gig is an overnighter for me so I've had to be a little more budgetary minded. I've seen McManus many times and never tire of watching him, but Martin Simpson I've seen only once when he did a short spot at the Bert Jansch tribute at last year's CC festival. Seeing them both together should be a great night.
Anybody else going to anything?

Yes, I just booked for Dougie McLean. Haven't seen him before. Also going to see Kris Drever with John McCusker and Roddy Woomble. It's the first time I've been organised enough to actually see ANYTHING at CC

Great lineup this year. I’ve seen all those mentioned mostly numerous times.

So much choice! Transatlantic Sessions, Aoife O'Donovan, Sarah Jarosz and Sara Watkins, John Smith, Shawn Colvin, Martin Simpson, We Banjo 3 (have you seen them Martin?) shame they don't split the venues with Edinburgh, Aberdeen, etc. Gotta go to at least one show, but which? I'm thinking it's sensible to see someone who we're unlikely to see anywhere local again....hmm....

I won’t be going but my songwriting partner Jenny is playing with her trio Salt House - well worth a listen if you can make it!
